Brussels Investments

Helping your food production or processing plant to meet the standards

Aid of up to 40%, to be calculated on the basis of the investments made, will be granted by the Brussels-Capital Region to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises that make investments in order to comply with the standards laid down by the European Community with regard to the way products are manufactured, particularly in terms of quality, safety and hygiene.

This aid will support businesses which apply the HACCP method, which is the current reference method for guaranteeing the hygienic safety of foodstuffs in a preventive manner. This is a legal obligation for all food businesses.

Beforehand, the company must have obtained a report stating the investments needed to meet the standards. This report must be drawn up by an expert in the field concerned.

The maximum amount of aid is EUR 32 000 per beneficiary, per calendar year.
